SCANNING
|
Flatbed scanner - 8" x 14". This is used primarily for scanning artwork, black and white halftones, 4-color rescreens, and copy. It can be used for the 4-color work, but the drum scanner is used for most color work.
Screen DT-S1030 desktop drum scanner. This will be used for the majority of the 4-color work, including 35mm, 2" and 3" x 5" transparencies, and reflective art up to 10" x 13" in size. Maximum output size depends on the screen ruling selected and the final size of image being scanned.

PRESS

Zirkon 420 – A single web, five unit, offset heatset printing press with a maximum web width of 26" and a cut-off of 17 3/4". Total printable area is 17 1/8" x 25" inches. Included is a Zirkon in-line folder capable of producing (1) 8 pg. 8 3/8" x 10 7/8" or 16 pg. digest or double parallel signature. Additional equipment includes an Oxy-Dry sheeter and cut-off controls, CCR Total Register System, Spec patter perforator, Enkel roll stand, Baldwin web guides, in-line plows and turn bar assembly which offers multiple folding configurations. This press is capable of delivering flat sheets up to 10pts. (.010) in thickness. With the addition of (2) Gammerler bump turns and (2) Gammerler in-line trimmers we can deliver as finished product of press – 2 pg. 5 3/8" x 8 3/8" or 8 3/8" x 10 7/8". Rated speed 40,000 impressions per hour.
Zirkon 300 – a double web, five-unit offset heatset printing press with a maximum web width of 26" inches and a cut-off of 17 3/4" inches. Total printing area is 17 1/8" x 25" inches included is a Zirkon in-line folder capable of producing (1) 8 pg. or 16 pg. 8 3/8" x 10 7/8" signatures or (1) 16 pg. or 32 pg. digest signature. A Zirkon sheeter, capable of delivering single web flat sheets, up to 10 pgs. (.010) thick and double web flat sheets up to 7pt. (.007) thickness combined for both webs. With the addition of (2) Gammerler bump turns and (2) Gammerler in-line trimmers we can deliver finished product of press – 2 pg. 5 3/8" x 8 3/8" or 8 3/8" x 10 7/8". Additional equipment includes two Enkel rollstands, Oxy-Dry cut-off controls and Martin web guides. Rated speed 30,000 impressions per hour. |

(1) SEYPA (1) SEYBOLD CUTTER with a maximum sheet size of 42" x 42"
(1) STAHL (1) MBO FOLDER with a maximum sheet size of 26" x 40", and a minimum sheet size of 5" x 8". There is a minimum fold size of 3" x 3". Both folders have 2 sections and gatefold attachments.
(1) MULLER MARTINI 335 SADDLE STITCHER with 10 pockets, cover feeder, hand drop station, three knife and five-knife trimmer. Maximum size of 11" x 17", and a minimum size of 3" x 5" with a maximum book thickness of 3/8".
(1) CHALLENGE DRILL 1/8" to 3/8" holes available up to 8 holes.
(1) SULBY 6000 PERFECT BINDER with 20 pockets, inline three knife trimmer, and counter stacker. Maximum size of 11" x 17", and a minimum size of 4" x 7" with a book thickness of 2" maximum, 1/8" minimum.
(1) BESELER SHRINK WRAPPER with maximum size of 15" x 17" and minimum size of 3" x 3".
